Who
I left a 15-year corporate career in my early 40s, packed everything into a Land Rover Defender, and drove out of Hong Kong with no guaranteed income and no plan B.

Moved to Wellington, New Zealand at fifteen. Then Sydney, Australia for eleven years. Came back to Hong Kong at thirty, spent thirteen years at HSBC. Left it all in 2024.

That was July 2024. The plan was one year. I'm closing two. 27 countries, Hong Kong through Central Asia, Europe, Arctic Circle to Sahara in Africa. 70,000km in a Defender. No crew, no sponsor, no support truck.

Documenting what this actually costs, what it does to you. Breaking Cycles is a record of rebuilding life outside the structure. Starting a business from scratch on the road, and sharing the real work behind that change as it happens.

What am I actually doing here
I read a post this morning. It cracked something open about why I'm doing this — not the trip, the whole thing. Worth sitting with.

The Leap
A life design tool for people standing at the edge of their conventional life, not sure if they can jump. It pulls what is already inside you, sharpens it against what is actually happening out there, and gives you 2 to 3 directions you could actually act on. Free Claude skill to run on yourself, or 1:1 with me.

Work with me

Most owner-operated businesses are losing hours every week to manual work and tools that almost fit but not quite. Look at how the business runs, see which process needs optimising, and build the fix.

Three depths, depending on what your business needs: tools and sites built around how you operate, workflow automation to clear the repeated manual work, or an ongoing technical consultant on retainer.

There's only me. No account managers, no sales reps, no six-week timeline before you see a first draft. That's either a problem or exactly what you need.

// Why me 13 years in fintech. Last role at HSBC, running the operational layer behind a product used by millions. Ops, fraud, customer issues, the messy stuff that makes a product actually run. Managing teams, finding the fix, getting it done. Same work now. Different scale, different environment. One person, end to end. Your problem stays my problem until it's solved.
