After decades as a corporate warrior, I finally broke free from the never-ending grind. Leaving my fintech job wasn’t easy—like taking off a tight wetsuit, it felt uncomfortable but freeing. For years, I chased financial stability and career success, ignoring the dream that never left me: to travel the world.

On July 1, 2024, I set off in my Defender 110 from Hong Kong, following the ancient Silk Road to Africa. What started as a six-month journey through 16+ countries has become a full-time nomadic life. I’ve driven over 35,000 km across two continents, crossing vast Mongolian plains, exploring Russia’s wild landscapes, and soaking in the rich cultures of Central Asia and Europe.

Now, Africa marks a new beginning. With no fixed plan, no final destination—just the open road ahead. Sometimes, the best way to truly live is to let go and just go.

From the high-rise jungle of Hong Kong to the vast deserts of Africa, I am rewriting my own narrative of what’s possible. As the first solo traveler from Hong Kong to drive across two continents to Africa while living full time in a car, I am living proof that dreams buried by routine can be revived on the open road.

With over 35,000 km driven through 16+ countries—from the Silk Road to the Sahara—my journey is more than just travel; it’s a movement. A movement to inspire those stuck in the cycle of corporate life to break free, chase their dreams, and redefine what success looks like.
